I am not sure I understand the problem you are facing.

As Bernard says the tabmenu code comes with a menu generator called gentabmenu.prg which you need to use in place of the normal genmenu.prg... but it doesn't sound like you are getting this problem.

If I understand your query you are confused about what the BINDEVENT() code is doing... am I right?
