Well I was quite sure that it was the NYMX where the "global" price of oil is set. Meaning that regular oil transactions are priced at the going rate.
But that doesn't mean that different countries don't have different pricing for gas.
You may remember that Iraqis pre-war were paying something like 7 cents per litre. I understand that China prices its gas at around 20 cents per litre.
