>>Here is one question you might ask Andy if UT premiere membership (which I do not have, BTW) is a show stopper for him. Was Compuserve free? It wasn't for me before it was comped.
>
>No, compuserve was NOT free. But it did provide many other services (for example local access numbers world-wide, telephone support and hosting services) which were what you paid for. You did not have to pay to access any forum, or use any of the tools, that the forums provided. Access to archives and search engines were (and are) completely free.

>I didn't realize that the UT provided anything for the money other than access to itself.....?
>(and by the way, _I_ do get a free membership because I am an MVP - but that has nothing to do with what I do)

>I have never left the community! Your view that the VFP Community is somehow linked to this site is nothing short of insulting to an awful lot of very hard working people all over the world. This sort of attitude is precisely why I don't waste my time here and if you have anything else to say about me, then I suggest you say it to me personally and not behind my back here.
>
>I would also suggest that maybe YOU should try and find the REAL FoxPro community - in places like Foxite, on the MSDN forums, on the Microsoft Public Forums, the Virtual FoxPro User Group and Compuserve (in ALL of which you will find ME!) plus other sites that I simply don't have time to visit regularly like Tek-Tips and PortalFox

Andy,

Somehow you and Eric den Doop and perhaps several other people as well have a negative attitude towards this forum and therefore deject all references to UT solutions posted on other boards considering them advertising and even ban people for referencing solutions from this forum by providing direct links.

I wholeheartly disagree with this attitude. The solution is a solution no matter where it is posted. Giving a direct reference to a solution, in my opinion, is the right thing to do.

I do disagree with what you wrote to me here http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1542375&SiteID=1 and I'm saying my opinion publically.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
