Try to keep the thread intact, in other words respond to replies you have gotten. This new thread will prevent anyone who wants to respond from knowing what everyone has already suggested. It greatly reduces the value of this media type for YOU. Your best value is for everyone here to know what everyone else has suggested that DID NOT fix the problem. That way they can pursue other avenues with you.

As for the problem you are having. I would suspect either a corrupt SCX/SCT file or a corrupt form class that your SCX/SCT is derived from. Chcek Tools-Options menu on the form tab and see if there is a default form class set up there. If there is tkae it out and click Ok. Then make a form put your data in it and run it. If the DE is still there when you edit the form then the trouble is in the form class, if not then it is probably the form.

If this is happening with all forms I would suggest reinstalling VFP as there may be a problemn with the VFP system files. I can assure you that this does not happen on its own, something is definitely doing this. It may be your code or it may be a bad install of VFP. I work with forms all day and have never had the DE disappear on me.
