Hello,

It seems that there are no discussions here on disabling ODBC tracing. It's important that I disable the ability for someone to view the ODBC trace log as passwords are sent when using sp_setapprole.

My connection string looks like:
DRIVER=SQL Server;SERVER=XXX\SQLEXPRESS;DATABASE=DB;UID=Login;PWD=Pass;SQL_ATTR_TRACE=SQL_OPT_TRACE_OFF

But when I go to the ODBC DataSource Administrator, and turn on tracing right before my connection is made, the trace log is filled with all my connection information (including the password sent).

What am I doing wrong?
