>>>I love the song "Backstreet Luv" by this group. The hooks are addicting. The group, in this song anyway, sound like a cross between the Cure, Mamas and the Papas and Traffic. I tried a site to find more groups like them, but didn't find anything worthwhile. Does anyone know of other songs that are similar to this one?

>>It may be a good time to look at Jethro Tull (until about mid 80s), Pentangle, Melanie (Safka, not the other one), Dresden Dolls, and Bret Empie's former housemate, Xyra. Maybe a bit of Strawbs and ELP (Emerson, Lake and Palmer) as well.

>>And of course the rest of the Curved Air. Once you discover the difference between Vivaldi, Vivaldi with cannons and Ultra Vivaldi, you'll see.

>I love early Tull. Minstrel in the Gallery is one of my favorites.

And that's almost LATE Tull for me, but still quite good. Later... Heavy Horses and Crest of a Knave, the rest was more fitting with the times than with me.

>I like some of ELP, but it gets a bit long sometimes. It's like Zappa; I've really got to be in the mood for it. Not finding much on this Xyra fellow though... I can't wait to hear the Vivaldi by Curved Air. Thanks!

Xyra is a she ... so I googled her . And I'm proud to be the author of one of the photos on the latest album.
