What we used to do was create a report template and then setup a form that would guide user through making changes to the underlying table for the report. ie: if report was called TemplateN, code would copy the tables TemplateN to files called RptWIP and the form would change the memo fields and/or add new records containing definitions to the RptWIP and then run the report RptWIP.
