>>>So in your mind Ahmadinejad is always sincere and genuine and Bush never is. Now that's very unbias of you.

>>I should get another pair of glasses. I've re-read his message three times, and haven't found where did he say "Ahmadinejad always" or "Bush never". There's one "never" in "you never know", and that's it.

>Maybe I should have asked "Srdjan, how do you know Ahmadinejad was sincere when he kissed the old lady? How do you know he wasn't posing for the cameras?"

But that was already answered, right? "This could be also very clever play for western media."

Look, I don't like the very idea of any religion having any say in matters of state, or even society - it's a personal matter, period. Living in Iran would probably be my worst nightmare. But that doesn't mean everything Ahmedinejad does is bad per se, nor that it's bad just because he did it. He's actually showing he's a politician, using sincerity or acting (whichever this was) when it can earn him some brownie points somewhere. Within his circumstances, I'd agree this was cute, and if he did that to also goad the fundamentalists to burst with absurd faith-o-babble and look like idiots, he may as well turn out to be smart.

It's not all so black and white.
