Dirk is not the league MVP, just a leading candidate along with Steve Nash. He better hope the votes are already counted.

He will be listening to questions all summer, and beyond, about whether he is capable of leading a team to an NBA title. There is no question about his individual skills but this is not the first time he has shot blanks at crunch time.
