>>>>>Well, I took my income tax refund to the computer guy today and came home with an Athlon 4200 dual core box today. It runs great. It also came with Vista home premium edition. After five hours, I find myself wanting my XP pro back. Maybe a few more days of tire kicking will change my mind. I'll let you know.

>>>I installed Office 2000 this morning - everytime I run Outlook it asks me if I want to make it my default mail app and I reply yes. I get my mail. I try to open my email then Outlook crashes. I install O2k SP1 and get the same result. I use detect and repair and it tries to install O2k SP1 again. Round and round it goes. Does anyone on the UT have a fix or work around for this merrygoround?

>Well, we the retired folks of the world cannot afford that. I have excell 2000 working okay and word works fine so most of O2k seems to be working. I am really getting tired of vista's over protective security measures. I'm going to try the administrator approach and see what happens.

So far I have been successful when doing anything with Vista if I have given myself Admin rights. What a trip this is! :)
