Now having your user files in the system folder is surely not nice... watch out, your admin may be out to get you for this.

The last glitch I had with mail was in 2000, when I manually moved some files and the system was unable to properly identify them, so I lost one complete local folder - overwritten with blank one. But that was Netscape 6.something - ever since then, and over several years before that, I had no problem at all. Presently planning to upgrade from Thunderbird 1.5 to 2.0 - http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/
