Sorry, but they only work at the table level.

>>The two products I'm aware of are Cryptor and NetLib. We use NetLib because its unlimited license is $700, and they're located in the US. Cryptor wants $1200 for unlimited licensing and they're located in the UK which means odd support hours. Both are flls and both work on the fly.

>>Check out NetLib at www.netlib.com and Cryptor at http://www.xitech-europe.co.uk/MainFrame.htm. Both can be purchased via www.hallogram.com.

>>>Got this application that started as 2.6 (i.e., it's been in production for a while). Well, now the user's having problems with people going in and changing the tables through foxpro instead of through the app. The user wants to encrypt the tables. The only thing I can think of at this point is to write an encrypt/decrypt routine and go through and decrypt every read and sql and then encrypt the results. Horrible! Anyone know of some third party thing that will perhaps make my life easier.

"It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem. For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much -- the wheel, New York, wars and so on -- whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man -- for precisely the same reasons." - Douglas Adams
