what is my supposed "vested interest" ? And what are these alleged "overtly personal comments" that I was supposed to object to?

For the first, perhaps you should direct that question to another poster who seemed sure that you could pass a message to "Andy" after he apparently had not responded to her own pleas for reinstatement. If we can find out who this supposed "Andy" is, perhaps an answer will declare itself.

For the second, I perceive a rhetorical question cast as an interrogation, something best avoided IMHO.

As I keep saying, my involvement here was to assist an unhappy fellow poster, not to have posts picked apart by people hunting for fault. What's going on?
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
