yes, it's like run and search combined. type notepad, calc, paint, chess, internet, regedit, regsvr32,... it is started. If you have www.ebay in your surf history, type ebay and you get there.

In short: it's incremental search and where you only have the most used apps in XP start menu here you have search results in apps, files, browser history and mails.

Vista just runs fine on my MacBook, can't complain and won't roll back to xp.
