I still think that officials at the BBC should have gone on trial for treason after they gave away military information and disclosed the British attack on Goose Green was about to occur. That was HUGE talk in the U.S. military at the time. It terrified those in the military everywhere.

>>No. We discussed this time ago. Argentina, an unofficial Brit colony from about 1815 to 1930 or so) as the economies were intertwined and for most of that period many issues were not resolved without consulting the Brit Ambassador. During this period the political power was influenced by the Crown and British powerful companies (e.g. railways, meat packers, shippers, wool importers, etc.)

>Ah, yes, I vaguely remember :-) That's why we have so much Fray Bentos corned beef? Yes i believe there is quite a large cosmopolitanesque British influence in Argentina. Just think, if we'd pushed just that little bit further, in 1982, we could have taken Argentina for another colony, to supply The Falklands, while the country was in turmoil :-)
