For the last 13 years I have done a great deal of family genealogy work to determine family members names and other information. Whenever a female is involved it becomes difficult to trace who she married, children, etc. The Spanish use a surname consisting of the husband’s last name followed by the mothers last name. This makes it easier to do research of this type.

>Our very own Christof Wollenhaupt, nee Christof Lange, did exactly that. When he married he took his wife's family name. It did strike me as odd but my respect for him made me think maybe there's nothing wrong with it. We should probably all open up our thinking from time to time.

Perhaps that is what we need – one word names. But then George Lucas had a movie titled THX 1138. That sounds way cool!
