Yes, that's exactly my point.
But actually, some ideas originate from somebody but when repeated several times they become commom knowledge. Say, yesterday there was a question about text highlighting. I gave 3 possible solutions from the top of my head, but then decided to search, found another solution, which I forgot to mention + 2 of the mentioned solutions already discussed. I bet I read them few times before and thus how I now know them, but I feel them as my own now.
But of course, if I do know who was the author of the particular idea or code I always give this person a credit.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
