How so? I can name 15 people (all frequent posters) of the top of my head who have displayed an appalling level of incompetence in giving advice to other about methodologies. Most like to argue for arguments sake, some have the pet agendas, and others are just plain idiots.

In any collection of individuals, you will run the gamut of personality types and psychoses, so it really shouldn't amaze you.
