>>John, you're really cynical, negative and wrong here. First, it's no longer about Naomi, it's about the relationship between fora and that affects us all. Second, Naomi was not banned after many warnings. She was banned after one warning and after that warning she made no serious reference to the UT. She was banned for nothing worth a ban.

>This statement is so utterly ridiculous, I debated even replying to it; however, you have a very high estimation of the UT's impact in the computer world. I have many friends on other forums dealing with .Net and VFP. Most of them have no idea what the UT is or care for that matter. To say its all about fora relationships is absolute balderdash. the people here may think that the UT is the be all and end all of the computing world, but I guarantee you outside of the UT's little fiefdom there is a huge world with lots of other information and expertise available.
>
>I know for a fact that the movers involved with the other forums dealing with VFP have a high disregard for the UT and will willing steer people away from joining if they know about it. There are many MVP's who do not post here anymore because of the level of incompetence displayed by many of the members when discussing technical issues. There are other highly intelligent vfp programmers who do not set foot on the UT either, for the same or different reasons.
>
>So while the UT is a good tool and a good place for gathering opinions and information, IT IS NOT THE MAIN COG IN THE WORLD OF PROGRAMMING. EUPHEMISTICALLY, IT IS A TINY SCREW HOLDING THE EXHAUST VENT TO THE ENGINE. Justify it all you want, that is the main truth.
>
>If the UT went away tomorrow, which BTW, I hope it doesn't, programming would survive, and there would be nearly zero impact on the programming world except that a couple of thousand programmers and a few idiots would have to find a new home.

Why are you waisting your precious NET time here ??

I personally think this forum is great, and while so are some other
forums, I think that finding info/answer here is by far fastest/easiest
that I know about. Unlike other strictly technical forums, it is also loads of fun :)

Choosing forum is matter of taste and personall preferences, so why aren't u
moving some place else ? Remaining few thousands VFP programmers here, will be just fine & dandy :)

To Naomi;
Don't be upset, keep your pride and don't go where they don't want you.
Yours is about first face that I ever remembered from here and by now
very well part of UT herittage, color, taste and atmosphere.
Next to being top level resource, this forum is also prety much human, personnal, emotional, and all other good things that makes people want to be part of it. So hang on in here, keep your head up, and don't loose your
smile over this.

Cheers :)
