Actually I am doing some processing with this cursor but I will also look at the table variable to see if this would work for me.

The server that I am trying to query is a web server that resides in DMZ. When I was setting up the linked server properties only the IP address with the port number worked.

The problem started when I upgraded my web server to SQL Server 2005.
