Don't quite understand. You say there is no cursor in Form2 yet there is data in a grid.

If the data in form2 are in a private data session, and you do no updating in the form, then maybe it stands to reason that you'll see no change back in form1.

Now I'm not saying this is definitely the answer as I've never simulated doing this, as it is wrong to do so.

Also, as Boris says, you don't check whether your tableupdate()s are successful.
