I´ll Continue using VFP for a long time. Besides, I´m learning (Or trying at least) something new, like PHP with MySql and I´ll start some other, not sure if C++ or Python.
I think I have lot of reasons to continue with VFP. For example, it´s very easy to setup a little app in a couple of days, fully working and very fast, the kind of things I´m doing at my work.
In other way, a friend of mine has a lot of succes with a POS he wrote in... Clipper! How many years Clipper dies? And it´s a good app, fast, don´t need a monster PC and works great. The pos was designed for chains of convenience stores, the kind of 7-11. If Clipper can survive that way, I think VFP could too...
And don´t forget that there are different projects for VFP that sounds real good, like Christof Wollenhaupt's Guineu that you can see at

By two common phrases in his vocabulary, we know Hercule Poirot was a great Developer: his use of "the little grey cells" and "order and method".
