Hi,

I recently made a change to a file that that is used in a report, that prints checks. The change was that a number of fields (cAllotAdj1, cAllotAdj2, etc.) were made longer (35 characters from 14). The fields represent up to 6 adjustments to the check amount.

The longer field is used in one installation, with a new report form, but in 2 other installations, the values in the fields are still only 14 characters long, and the report from that has been in use since 2005 is still being used.

In the report form that has been in use since 2005, the adjustment fields no longer display. I can see the data in the fields, but they don't show when the report is previewed.

If i change the Format Options, Template Characters to "Interleave" rather than "Overlay" the fields show properly. THERE ARE NO CHARACTERS IN THE FORMAT TEMPLATE!

Can anyone explain to me why things have changed?

TIA, J

PS the field in the report is left justified and the data is left justified
