Now, as far as I understand once you set the PreviewContainer property, that container gets a reference to the Report Listener Object and inherits all of his properties and methods but in this case that's just no happening.

This really doesn't sound right at all. I think I can help: I recommend reading a couple of my articles about previews and report listeners, which contain most of what I have to say on the topic:
