Hello,

We are planning to use a MySQL database. There are very strong requirements concerning high availability in this project, therefore I was looking for comments on MySQL transaction logging and recovery.

Some are trying to convince us that Oracle is much more "transaction safe" than MySQL. Would that be true or is that only a misconception?

Thanks for your input in advance.
