Well, but Win API functions are simply C functions. Does the vfp runtime differ in that respect? Is it possible to DECLARE functions of the VFP runtime, like you can DECLARE Win API calls? Then their technique should work in DOS too, shouldn't it? http://www.hook-api.com/api-hooking.html

Maybe netlib is not bending calls at that IAT/EAT level but intercepts at a more vfp specific level like you said. As they say every DLL has such adress tables it should be possible to overload functions.
