Sleeping with the Devil is a pretty well written polemic about our relations with Saudi Arabia. See no Evil is outstanding and Blow the House Down is spook fiction as good as it gets. ( Clooney in Syriana was sort of based on this guy and the the movie on his books ) I think you'd like it.
