FoxPro 2.5 or 2.6 (Windows or DOS) can run on XP.
VFP3 will not run on a computer with too much RAM (ironically, the error you get is "insufficient memory"):
- version 3.0 will not work on a PC with 512MB or more RAM
- version 3.0b will not work on a PC with 768MB or more RAM
