The weather was just about the same. We've had the hottest, dryest April on record, with barely a mm of rain, then May comes in with torrential rain and blustery winds, which is what was forecast on Saturday. But the Good Lord smiled on us. Here, between the South Downs and the sea, the weather is a law unto itself. It's like we were in the calm eye of the hurricane. Now the temp is c. 14C, which was often achieved in Nov-Feb. It looks like autumn outside today. Go figure.
Yes, I'll be escaping it next week - much looking forward to it, thanks.
