A man carries a heavy load, and can not see where he is going. So he asks a boy to open the door for him. The boy does not open the door, so the man crashes into it and loses all his stuff. When he asks the boy why he did not open the door, the boy answers "you didn't say please".

>And my question was serious - do you think that may be (one of) the reason(s) for the failure to write the details to the file - in the exe version at the client's (as I said, it worked OK in VFP, debug and the EXE here)?

Yes, I think the fclose() is important. Maybe even more important in FPD than in VFP, since VFP has added more intelligence.
