Yes I know. But the problem seems to be a link remaining somewhere between the file included the project and the file on disk. Because if a do CheckOut in Visual SourceSafe of my bmp files, the EXE works fine. And not works at all when bmp files are readonly. It's not suppose, because bmp are compiled like you said. Strange!
