I fixed this problem by putting
THIS.SETFOCUS()
in the click method.

Ther problem has to do with the value not being selected when the user starts typing. It usually show up if the mouse is us3ed to get to the textbox. With a tab ito the textbox the SelectOnEntry property will contrl the selection adn any typing would overwrite the current value.
