I've tried some code that saves the grid.ActiveRow, hides the existing ToolTip by moving the mouse and puts it back, then skips the .RelativeRow records in the grids rowsource, and then sets the column.ToolTipText to what I want (info from the current record), then sets the table back to the saved row. It all works except sometimes the code that hides the current tooltip leaves the mouse in the wrong position. I still haven't had time to hunt that one down as it doesn't happen everytime, but often enough to be annoying.
The above would only work on a cursor or a view where the physical record order is how you see it, an indexed table would not work correctly.
