Thanks for responding. You're completely right about the scope of things at INIT. I did add the code to the form INIT, passing in the reference to the collection (THISFORM.o_form_coll) and the controls are able to resolve it. Thanks for the great suggestion -- that worked.

However, the BINDEVENT on the CA Vs form controls is still a mystery. I do know the DE gets created first along with objects on it (i.e. CA's). It makes me wonder if this is too early for the BINDEVENT command to get a resolution on THISFORM in the INIT of the CA.
