I'm not where I can try this right now, but it may work.
Don't connect to another computer. Then try:
1. Right-click on Event Viewer
2. Select Open Log File
3. Browse to the other computer and select the log file
>Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I do not believe it applies, the error I am getting when I try to open the Event Viewer is "Unable to connect to the computer {Computer Name}. The error was: The network path was not found". Maybe there is a different way to access it? What I am doing is Computer Management -> Action -> Connect to Another Computer, then I put the name of the computer and I got the error when I click the Event Viewer branch. Other branches seem to work fine. If I connect to my own computer, it works fine
