I agree. He was extremely devisive and responsible for the 'moral majority' which I don't think ever was a 'majority' but actually a very minute 'minority' in this country. It was nothing more than a bullying political lobby run by overzealous fundamentalist conservative christians. IMHO, one of the worst things to occur in this country recently is the evangelical revolution which brought about the Moral Majority, the Christian Coalition Network, and more recently, the Moral Majority Coalition. Personally, I disagree with the majority of what they stand for. The media gives these groups so much air time that people overseas get the false impression that the majority of Americans think like them.

>Sorry, I can't agree. He did so much harm in his life through his words and his acts. He may have been a good man to his family and friends, but he deserves a lot of credit for the divisive nature of American society and the preoccupation in political life of social issues that should be private.
