Reminds me of some statements in the Bible. The warnings about "false prophets" may refer to many different kinds of people, but seem to fit especially well for several televangelists.
>Every once in a while I watch the television evangelists to see what is new. Send me your money and you will go to heaven.
>
>They often teach that their believers are good and everyone else is not. Some of these fine people do not practice what they preach. I cannot understand why someone who professes to be a “Christian”, condemns others.
>
>Television evangelists remind me of the present federal administration. They have an agenda but it seems to be self serving and excludes reality and humanity.
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
