I have many pieces of equipment at home that I use to exercise. Personally, I do not like elliptical machines and prefer the Tony Little Gazelle, for its low impact on your joints. I also have a tread mill, which is a model that provides the lowest impact to your joints of any other tread mill on the market. I use both as well as my weights, exercise bike, and rowing machine.

I truly believe it is good to “mix up” your exercise routine. Otherwise you run the risk of overusing specific areas of the body. For those that do not heed your words then they will enjoy the consequences.

Belonging to a gym is a means of socialization for some (why workout when you can meet people?) and a good way to pick up some skin disease from equipment that is not cleaned. Then of course we have the incompetent trainers at the local gym who want you to work out to kill yourself.

Make haste slowly. Use your brain when you exercise and be sure that your brain listens to your body. Understand what you are doing and why. I have been working out for 51 years and have suffered no injuries because of it. At age 65 I just appreciate my body more and do not try to compete with anyone.
