Banks and the government and that's about it. Most businesses treat them as floating holidays along with some other days. I bet MLK's birthday isn't an "everyone gets the day off" holiday in North Carolina, is it? It's a regular school day for my daughters in Wisconsin. Many of the fine folks up there are still upset that it's a holiday at all.

She looked round to see a fox with its nose in it. We're talking a crowd of people lounging on the grass here!
