But then, the ActiveDoc is the most famous non-starter in VFP, a thing which never really lived and, as I've heard, was not touched since its first appearance. I don't remember anyone ever using it.

Just searching on ActiveDoc here on UT yields interesting results: it's mentioned in about 100 messages until year 2000, 10 in 2001, 49 in 2002, 3 in 2003, 8 in 2004, 7 in 2005, 3 in 2006, and two (including this one) in 2007.
