ERWin is a great tool, but I don't think it can reverse engineer a VFP database. xCase will reverse engineer VFP databases, but it doesn't have all the features of ERWin. I think xCase is much cheaper than most of the other tools, so that could tip the scale in its direction. I find data modelling tools very valuable. If you're doing a lot of database design I think it's well worth the money.
