Christianity does not concern itself with religion. In fact, the word 'religion' or 'religious' appears only seven times in the entire Bible, mostly with negative connotations. While the words 'spirit', 'spirituality' and 'spiritual' occurs several hundred times.

True Christianity is a quest for spiritual truth as exemplified by Jesus Christ who said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6.

The term 'religious' is not used by Christians to describe one another. For instance, one Christian does not say to another, "That man is religious." But he would say, "That man is born again." (The expanded phrase would actually be "born again of the Spirit". i.e. the Spirit of God.) And here you have it. No one is a Christian (according to the New Testament) without entering into this realm of the spirit. That is why I used the term "spritual".
