Aleksy seemed to present some code to read tables and he did not use it, though I'm not certain that was on free tables. I'll have to check back on that. Aleksey recommended to use VFP OleDb instead. I haven't tried to use CA with free tables myself, my tables are in the database. I don't remember off hand if Bernard Bout articles describe using free tables with CA, you may check them out.
