I once worked for Morgan S and we did a lot of partnerships with the corporate side of Mitusbishi. I remember a VP from Japan once stating something along the lines of:

"When will these Americans learn? Toyota plays dirty in Japan and eventually they will play dirty here as well. It is a worthless piece of junk in Japan. Why do these Americans insist on paying so much for junk?"

There was a lot of competition between Toyota, Mitsubishi, and Nissan. Still waiting to see who is left standing...

>Hi Dragan,

>>You touched a nerve here. I visited Renault's website a couple of years ago, and got quite sentimental over how they look. It's so charming and refreshing, compared with the cars here including the Japanese, German and Korean cars, which are all styled to please the US market, and thus all look the same. Megane is just sooooooo different, and I remember Twingo with nostalgy.

>I never owned a Renault but I have worked for this company years ago. Had relatives heavily involved in the car industry. It it getting EXTREMELY competitive. More than just tough. It is going to choke even the best of breed and the cash-rich.

>I just do not think we can expect all competitors to survive the next decade since massive technology injections will be required whilst prices are expected to drop. It it going to be bloody:(
