With all due respect Cathy, as a business owner isn't it YOUR job to convince YOUR client to buy YOUR product so that YOU can stay in business? Marketing being a prime example of how one goes about convincing clients to buy products.
And with all due respect Jos, isn't it your jjob to convince YOUR clients to hire you for YOUR expertise so that YOU can stay in business? Since when is it Microsoft's job to do that for you?
I cater to the small to medium sized business man. He does not care what language I write my solution in. He has a business problem that is causing him pain and he just wants me to solve his problem and take that pain away.
Trying to sell a VFP solution to one of the fortune 500 is going to be a very hard sell. But that is not my target market, so why would I care?
