Example..
Ford decides to push sales of Lincoln branded autos.
Ford goes on TV, Radio, Newspapers, Billboards and tells of the wonders of Lincoln.
Ford absolutely clams up on even the mention of Ford brand to anyone except current Ford owners.
Ford owners are blasted with ads about how they should be driving Lincolns instead.
This goes on for over a decade.
Sales of Ford brand vehicles dry up. Ford finally decides to stop the Ford brand.
Ford should blame dealers and owners for this, right?
