Looking for any information concerning IDS Mail and Lotus Notes, Unfortunately the company IDS does not have a crippled trial verison available to test with. Specifically I am looking for information concerning performance.

When sending mail from the IDS control does it start Lotus Notes on the local machine ( in the background or otherwise...) to send the mail or does it just read the Notes configuration files and connect to the Notes Mail Server. From what I read it sounds as though the control is actually starting the whole Notes client application in the background, which with Notes poor performance, I would not want this to happen each time someone wants to send an email from my VFP application.
