Like William, I use Outlook and have never had problems on a well protected system. As a second choice I like Forté Agent. A great email and newsreader client (it is still my 1st choice as NewsReader and the only one I use for NNTP). My email accounts are all on online servers with http access therefore I also access them thorugh their web interface when out of home or when I want to check my personal email from work (where MS Outlook is only set for my work email account and nothing else due to corporate rules).
