We have lots of folks using MM .NET with Vista now so I'm not sure what's going on here. Try creating the project in a different folder to see if that helps (maybe a security issue). Try running Visual Studio 2005 as Administrator to see if that helps. I'm guessing you already tried uninstalling and reinstalling MM .NET. If you can't figure it out, shoot me an e-mail and I can try to get on your machine using GoToMeeting to see what's up.
