>>Just bought a new set of Rac OS2 irons, a Taylor Made R7 driver and 3-wood and a Odessey Two-Ball putter. And 6 dozen Slazenger Raw balls, 4 pair of Footjoy all weather gloves and a pair of Footjoy eComfort black shoes. :-DDDDDD

But the time is coming because the groves are fading. My driver is the Callaway Hawkeye 7.5 degree loft. I haven't found a better driver for me, although I very tempted by the Ping G5. And I use Ping-ZingII putter, had it for 10 years. My wedges (51, 56, 60) are GolfSmith made. Finally, I always use MaxFli XS golf balls. They're cheap and durable.

Now if I could only buy a swing! Golf is such a wonderfully addicting, utterly frustrating game. My wedge will be dead on - inside of 100 yards I could knock it in a 10 foot circle all day long. Unfornately, on that same day my driver would seem to have an idea that 40 degrees left or right is perfectly fine. On those days that my driver is floating high, dead center, then the long/mid irons feel like a curtain rod in my hands. Putter's always pretty good, but doesn't help much if you're already 5 on the green of a par 4. But I can't stay away from it. And I love the driving range almost as much as playing. I play better there too. I do think that if I were to draw 2 red stripes on all my balls during a round, then I would play beatifully... <g>

Yeah, I love the new clubs. Looking for a good lofted/sand wedge though. They say Cleavland's are good, but I had a set of their irons once and they were the ugliest things I've ever seen. Could hardly stand to look at them when I set up to the ball.

Biggest thing that I've learned in years of trying to play this game is tempo. If I can just start down slow and accellerate, then I usually can keep it smooth. Anything else and it could go anywhere. We have a ton of good course around here. What about where you are?
